Workshop
description
Getting
Under Your Skin
- Intermediate to advanced temp piercing
From torture
scenes and medical play to rituals and exploring the spirit through
body modification, temp piercing is edgy
. Opening the flesh,
inserting all manner of things beneath the skin, flying with wings
of metal, running the gamut from intense sensation to cathartic
pain with just a little prick
.
In this workshop
we'll explore some more advanced methods of temp (play) piercing
hands-on. Those wishing to participate in the hands-on portion of
this workshop should have a basic level of understanding of play
piercing (either from attending our previous workshop, from attending
other similar workshops (like those taught by Elwood at Lupercalia
2005 or 2007), or from having hands-on experience from one-on-one
teaching/mentorship). However anyone with an interest in temp piercing
is welcome to join us, watch, and learn - though we advise you seek
out further entry-level education if you are inspired by this workshop
and wish to begin to practice the arts of piercing the flesh
.
Some of the
topics that will be discussed/demonstrated in this workshop include
advanced temp piercing, suturing, piercing and suturing multiple
bottoms, tribal-inspired piercing adornments, and quill piercing.
Mini-kits of suturing supplies and sterile quills will be available
for pre- order purchase. (no refunds)
Because of the
additional space requirements for this workshop (to set up clean
spaces, etc) this class will be limited to 20 guests. Due to the
nature of this workshop, we advise that anyone wishing to take part
in the hands-on portion come with a partner to work with, along
with the following supplies:
Latex, nitrol
or vinyl gloves (multiple)
Needles - sizes 18-25 (your choice)
Single use alcohol wipes
Anti-bacterial lubricant
Sharps container
Ziplock bag
Thick blanket, sleeping bag, etc as there will NOT be enough massage
tables for everyone who will want to lay down.
Aftercare supplies as needed for those who will require them post-workshop.
Participants
who are not adequately prepared may be asked to refrain from participating
in certain hands-on elements of this workshop.
This workshop is upcoming. If you would like to attend or teach
this class (or know someone who should), please contact us at p3gatherings
@ gmail. com.
