Workshop description Community - The politics, the networking, and the opportunities There are both positive and negative sides of bdsm communities, and the problems they have seem to be universal. In this workshop we'll discuss some of the advantages to belonging to your local community (as well as the advantages of belonging to larger, perhaps non-local communities), and some of the benefits you might be able to get from that association. We'll also talk about some of the down-sides to community life, and brainstorm different ideas to walk around the bad stuff, while still reveling in the good stuff. We'll also discuss different kinds of community involvements (munches, clubs, groups, etc) and what to do if there isn't anything in your area. We'll discuss online groups, how to start a group of your own, why multiple groups exist, and what groups are out there that might be of interest. A pen and paper to take notes will be valuable for this workshop. This workshop is upcoming.
