description
God for the
night - Dungeon Monitor training workshop
Dungeon Monitors
are the 'keepers' of a good play party. They enforce rules, assist
attendees, watch for the safety of players, and are in charge of
all activities happening at a party. A good DM has a wealth of experience
in the scene, and knows the difference between a heavy player and
a scene gone wrong. He or she isn't afraid to stop something questionable,
but is also able to explain a scene to any concerned onlookers.
This workshop
is ideal for anyone who is hosting events, or assisting those hosting
events. Too often the role of DM is given to individuals who simply
are not planning to play that night - there's a lot more involved!
This workshop is open to anyone who wishes to attend - from new
individuals to our community to those who are 'lifers'.
This workshop
is also valuable for anyone who attends or plans to attend private
parties because it will give you a better idea of what to expect
from your DM's, what a DM can do for you, and what a DM will expect
of you as a responsible party guest.
For experienced
DMs this workshop will be a good refresher. This class will also
show a different perspective on DM-ing and may offer insights you
had not considered before.
This workshop is vital for anyone who wishes to DM for P3Gatherings
events, and is highly recommended for anyone who may wish to join
a future or current DM team.
This workshop is upcoming and will be taught by experienced DM trainers.
