Workshop
description
What are
you? What am I? - Identification & Orientation
Defining roles
can be useful - particularly when you are new to the lifestyle or
new to your relationship. In this workshop we'll first identify
different terms - submissive, top, switch, dominant, etc
and
define reasonable definitions that we can (generally) agree on.
Then we'll work on self-defining ourselves - how do we fit into
these larger definitions. We'll also discuss how to successfully
explain or project your role, and thus have a better chance and
opportunity at 'meeting your match'. This workshop will also cover
what qualities to look for in a good top/bottom/etc - both "hard
skills", soft skills" and attributes.
We'll also talk
about sexual orientations - our community explores more than just
the straight-gay duality, and instead we're likely to come across
bisexuality, heteroflexibility, queer heterosexuality, genderfucks,
transfolk, asexuality, and more
if a lesbian dates a transman
- is she suddenly straight? A gay man dating a MTF - is he gay pre-op
and straight post-op? Does gender have a border - and do you need
a passport to cross?
This workshop
is designed for those who are new to the lifestyle or the community,
however anyone who might be transitioning their role or re-thinking
their sexual orientation may also find this workshop useful. Of
course, we can only learn from one another, and the inclusion of
more advanced players will be useful to creating a more dynamic
discussion.
This workshop is upcoming. If you would like to teach this class
(or know someone who should), please contact us at p3gatherings
