Workshop
description
Sharks in
the sea - Predators
We're all consenting adults, but sometimes lack of experience, hope,
energy, and naiveté can be like tainting the waters in attracting
a predator. Much like other predators, those in our own community
seek out those who might not "know better" and take unfair
advantage. Not all predators are physically dangerous, however some
can be, and in this workshop we'll talk about how to recognize a
predator, how to avoid them, and how to deal with one who has you
in their sights. We'll also talk about predatory behavior, and how
to recognize it in yourself - perhaps your intentions are good,
but your actions are making people think you're a predator when
that's not the case! We'll also discuss "outing" or "blacklisting"
people who exhibit predatory behavior, how it works, when it doesn't
work, and the ethical problems associated with it.
This workshop is upcoming. If you would like to teach this class
(or know someone who should), please contact us at p3gatherings
